Terms of use

These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pytch app (“the Web App”) via a web browser, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through the Web App. By using the Web App, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Web App.

Intellectual property

The Web App and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Trinity College Dublin, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by Irish and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

Licence to use the Web App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use a web browser to access and use the Web App for any purpose, subject to these Terms.

User content

The Web App allows you to create programs and other content. You retain full ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in that content. We make no claims on and impose no conditions on how you use the content you create. To the extent that your creations include material provided by others (for example, under Creative Commons licences), you are responsible for ensuring you obey those licences.

Prohibited uses

You may use the Web App only for lawful purposes. You agree not to use the Web App:

  • in any way that violates any applicable Irish or European Union law or regulation;

  • to engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone’s use or enjoyment of the Web App, or which, as determined by us, may harm the Pytch project or users of the Web App or expose them to liability;

  • to impersonate or attempt to impersonate Pytch, a Pytch team member, another user, or any other person or entity.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Web App is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and freedom from viruses or other harmful code. We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the content on the Web App or the content of any websites linked to the Web App.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent provided by Irish law, in no event will the Pytch project, its affiliates, or their licensors, service providers, employees, agents, officers, or directors be liable for damages of any kind.
